Russell Welsh FCInstCES, FRICS, FAIQS CQS is originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, and now lives in Brisbane, Queensland Australia.

Russell is a chartered quantity surveyor and chartered project management surveyor with professional experience in the UK, Saudi Arabia, Korea and, for the last 37 years, Australia.

Russell is a director of a QS & PM practice and a director of a dispute resolution service specialising in security of payment legislation in Australia.

Russell is a current elected member of the institution’s Council of Management (in his second term) and Regional Chair of CICES Oceania. Together with CICES CEO Simon Hamlyn, he is also a director of CICES Oceania Pty Ltd.

He has previously represented RICS at local level (UK, Saudi Arabia, and Australia), world region board level (Oceania) and international level as an elected member of its Governing Council, which is akin to the institution’s Council of Management.
