Peter Hallsworth is a Chartered Civil Engineer and undertook his first review as an examiner in 1982. He served the Institution of Civil Engineers as a Trustee and member of the Professional Reviews Panel and positively came to CICES to help establish the CEng and IEng qualification which was first awarded in 2015.
His background is geospatial and digital and he designed highway asset registers for local authorities. However, his main work was managing numerous projects on highways as consultant, usually for the ‘difficult’ jobs. He is the chair of the CICES Professional Standards Committee and stepped down from chair of Education, Professional Development and Management in 2025.
Peter is an examiner and always makes a point of wearing his tie (but not usually a bow tie!) when he reviews candidates and always makes efforts to relax them.
