Mark Coates is Bentley’s Vice President of Infrastructure Policy Advancement, advising governments, policymakers and industry leaders worldwide on how digital transformation can improve infrastructure delivery and performance.

A former quantity surveyor, he brings more than 35 years of experience across construction, infrastructure delivery and major capital programmes. His career has included senior roles supporting organisations such as Thames Water, United Utilities, ICI, Highways England, the Olympic Delivery Authority and Crossrail.

Over the past 15 years, Mark has focused on digital transformation from both delivery and commercial perspectives. He has worked with asset owners and their advisers to support technology adoption, improve project outcomes and strengthen performance across time, cost and quality.
