CICES has signed a new memorandum of understanding with the Institute of Collaborative Working (ICW).
Through the new MoU, which can be read here, ICW and CICES will collaborate to promote professional development, knowledge sharing, networking, education and collaborative good practice, helping to strengthen both professions and the relationships that enable successful project outcomes.
The latest MOU builds on a series of other agreements that CICES has signed in recent months, including one with Surveyors Australia and another with the Bahamas Association of Land Surveyors and the Bahamas Institute of STEM innovation.
Commenting, Simon Hamlyn, CICES CEO, said:
“The MOU we have signed with ICW is a forward-thinking agreement that builds on our partnerships with other organisations, as we continue to raise awareness of the profession and the value of being a CICES member both in the UK and internationally.
“ICW plays an important role in shaping the future of construction and infrastructure through its work supporting technical excellence, professional development, and industry collaboration. The relationships we build with organisations such as ICW will be increasingly more important in helping us address shared challenges and opportunities.”
Frank Lee, CEO at ICW said:
"At ICW, we believe that the most successful organisations and projects are built on strong relationships, shared objectives and effective collaboration. Our partnership with CICES brings together two professional bodies that are committed to developing people, advancing professional standards and supporting better outcomes across the built environment sector.
"The infrastructure sector depends upon the combined expertise of many disciplines, and this agreement provides an important platform for knowledge exchange, professional development and joint engagement on the issues that matter most to our members.
We look forward to working closely with CICES to strengthen professional capability, promote collaborative good practice and help our professions respond to the opportunities and challenges of the future".
The Institute for Collaborative Working was established in 1990 by the UK Government and Industry to help organisations, large and small, in both public and private sectors to build and develop more effective business relationships, based on collaborative working good practice.
