CICES members are being encouraged to populate their personal data within our customer relationship management system (CRM) as part of an industry-wide campaign led by the Be Inclusive group.

Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is a CICES golden thread, and this new initiative highlights the importance of collecting demographic data across the built environment and professional services sectors.

The Be Inclusive group includes CICES, RICS, CIOB, RIBA and other professional institutions.

How to update your profile information

Following the rollout of our new CRM system less than a year ago, it is now easier than ever for our members to update and maintain their personal information online.

To update your profile:

  1. Type cices.org/account into the search bar
  2. When you are logged in navigate to your profile section https://cices.org/account/profile/
  3. Select the Personal Characteristics section, located on the far right-hand tab
  4. Complete or update the information, as appropriate and click submit.

The process only takes a few minutes and will help us to build a clearer picture of our membership.

Why data is being collected

In line with our commitment to improve, equity diversity and inclusion (EDI), we are aiming to collect demographic information from our members.

Once collected, this data will be aggregated to facilitate analysis which can be used by institutions internally and externally, to help understand the current shape of the professions, better track trends over time, and identify priority areas for improvement.

Your data

We will never share any EDI data that identifies individual members, either directly or indirectly, and also sharing your personal data is optional.

If you do choose to provide the information, you are giving us your consent to use the information for the purposes outlined above. You can read our data policy here.
