Reciprocal route RICS & ICE
Eligibility
A Member or Fellow of one of the following:
- RICS (MRICS or FRICS)
- ICE (CEng/IEng MICE or CEng/IEng FICE)
A Member will be a fully qualified civil engineering surveyor, and a Fellow will have significant senior experience as a civil engineering surveyor and will have demonstrated a contribution to the industry that is over and above their everyday professional work.
How to apply
All applicants (RICS or ICE reciprocal route) must submit the following:
- Online application form which includes details of two sponsors who must hold at least the same grade and be a Member or Fellow of a relevant professional body.
- Evidence of current Membership or Fellowship of RICS or ICE
- Proof of annual subscription payment for the current year.
- Detailed CV (1,500–2,000 words) The CV should demonstrate experience in civil engineering, commercial management, or geospatial disciplines. Technologies, techniques, and tools used in your role. Key contributions to relevant projects.
- Statement on Rules of Professional Conduct with specific reference to the following clauses:
- 2.4 – Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- 2.5 – People development
- 1.8 – Environment and sustainable development
- 2.8 – Health, safety, and security awareness
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD) records for the last 2 years
- Digital Photograph

Fellow annual subscription fee £450.82 (March to February)
